I have never had a fancy barn and my colts have always grown up outside and there have been times where I have pouted about that just a little but the more I think about it the more grateful I am for that. Most of the time being born out in the pasture provides them with the cleanest environment possible. They roam out on thousands of acres while growing up traveling through rough country and learning how to use their feet and grow strong.
With all that being said I am so proud of the fact that all my “kids” are AQHA Ranching Heritage bred and they truly do a ranch job for a living and get to play at the horse shows on the weekends. Here are a few photos from some of the horses I have raised over the years doing their job on the ranch at the branding the last couple of weeks. Ranging from ages 12 to 4 they are all 100% sane and sound without any injections, or maintenance. Simply good strong bones and hooves along with great genetics.
